Will My Order Include Center Caps, Lugs, and TPMS Sensors?

Center Caps

If the wheels you purchase are designed with center caps, they will be included in your order. If you’re unsure, feel free to ask!

Lugs

Chrome lug sets are available for $45 (with free shipping if ordered alongside your wheels). These sets include all necessary lugs, 4 locking lugs with a key, and 4 chrome valve stems with chromies.

When comparing options, be cautious of places offering "free lugs," as these often do not include the added features found in our premium sets, like locking lugs, valve stems, and chromies.

When installing your wheels, always torque the lugs by hand in a star pattern. Avoid using power tools, as they can damage the lugs or studs.

TPMS Sensors

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensors are available for an additional fee. For wheel and tire packages, sensor installation is free of charge before shipping. Keep in mind that some vehicles may require a reprogramming process to sync with the sensors, which can be performed by most auto dealers or repair shops.

Need Center Caps?

Visit our Accessories Store to explore replacement center caps, risers, open caps, and more.

If you can’t find what you need and originally purchased your wheels from us, use the Contact Us Form to submit a request. Include a detailed description of the center cap and the wheel, as well as the wheel’s part number if available. We’ll confirm your order details and reach out to the manufacturer for pricing and availability.

TPMS: Key Information

What Is TPMS?

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is a small device installed on the inner surface of the wheel. It monitors tire pressure and activates a warning light on your dashboard if the inflation level is too high or too low.

How Do I Sync My TPMS?

Most TPMS sensors automatically sync with your vehicle after driving approximately 50 miles. If manual syncing is required, visit a reputable wheel or tire shop with the necessary tools. Avoid dealerships, as they often lack equipment for aftermarket sensors. If you need a replacement TPMS, contact us using the Contact Us Form.

How Can I Tell If TPMS Sensors Were Installed?

Inspect the valve stems:

  • Black rubber valve stem with a gold valve under the cap: Indicates TPMS sensors are installed.
  • Chrome valve stem: Indicates no TPMS sensors are installed.

Common Questions

Why Did I Receive Open Lugs?

If you ordered closed lugs but received open lugs, it’s likely due to the design of your wheel’s center cap. Open lugs may be necessary for proper installation if the center cap cannot accommodate closed lugs.

Why Did I Receive Chrome Lugs Instead of Black?

If your wheels feature a center cap that fully covers the lugs, your order may have been updated to chrome lugs for compatibility. If you prefer black lugs or plan to use the wheels without center caps, please contact us using the Contact Us Form.

Additional Fitment Information

Lug Nuts vs. Lug Bolts

  • Lug Nuts: Threaded onto existing studs, commonly found on Domestic and Japanese import vehicles.
  • Lug Bolts: Threaded directly into the vehicle hub, typically used on European cars.

If you’re unsure which option is right for your vehicle, provide your details, and our team will select the correct product for you.

Center Caps and Manual Hubs

Standard center caps may not fit over large manual hubs. Depending on your wheels, options like larger caps, open caps, or extenders may be available. Contact us, and we’ll work with the manufacturer to identify your options.

Are Spacers Safe?

Yes, spacers are safe when accurately measured, properly installed, and torqued to specifications. Regular checks are recommended. Learn more in our Spacers & Adapters Guide.

Do I Need Hub Rings?

Hub rings, also called centering rings, help align wheels with larger hub bores during installation. If you experience vibrations despite balanced wheels and tires, hub rings may resolve the issue.

These rings, typically made from durable plastic, ensure proper alignment during installation but serve no purpose once the lugs are tightened.
